The day before I left for Germany a real estate agent called us — in fact, our very first client for whom we shot a house back in March — wanting shoots for a couple listings in Escondido.

Since Kirk works full time and I was leaving on a jet plane the next day, I had to tell him that I wouldn’t be able to do it for him until I returned, two and a half weeks later. Real estate agents (and everyone else) are notorious for wanting it done yesterday. I thought for sure he would have found another photographer.

I shouldn’t have worried. When I got back, I found an email in my inbox telling me to give him a ring when I was available. Awesome!

He arranged both shoots on the same day (which conveniently saved me a one hour round-trip to Escondido). The first was a 4 bed 2 bath ranch-style with a lush backyard.

The second house was a 3 bed 2 bath ranch. Literally, a ranch. The next-door neighbors had goats and sheep, and if you buy this property, you could too!

Two shoots in under four hours. Wham bam thank you ma’am. ☼
